Address to a Haggis |
Dear Friends,
We have some happy news for you in these times of financial hardship. We’ve changed our plans for celebrating Robert Burns’s birthday in January so all of you can afford to attend.
The Society’s board of governors has decided to move our Robert Burns Birthday Celebration to the Church of St. Andrew, where we had our celebration in 2008.
Kathleen’s delicious haggis and neeps will be served, and we’ll have the traditional Address to a Haggis, the Toasts to the Lads and the Lasses, the Toast to the Immortal Memory, and the music of the pipes and other special entertainment!
To keep the cost as low as possible, it will be pot-luck. Please bring a hot dish, a salad, or a dessert to share. Please also bring your own tableware. (We also appreciate donations of prizes for the drawing!)
Other than that, there’s no charge for admission!
Join us in celebrating the birth of Scotland’s greatest poet, Robbie Burns!
• When: Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, 6:30 p.m.

• Bring your friends, guests are welcome!
• It’s pot-luck! Please bring a hot dish, a salad, or a dessert to share (enough for 6 to 8 people).
• Please bring your own plates, cups and tableware.
